## Abstract

A display method of displaying a video captured by an imaging apparatus includes setting a plurality of set regions in a reference region which is an imaging region of a reference video, selecting a recording region, which is a region of a record video to be recorded, from among the plurality of set regions, reselecting the recording region from among the plurality of set regions to switch the recording region after the selection step is performed, recording the record video on a recording medium, displaying a plurality of set videos which are videos of the plurality of set regions, and performing a control process relating to a change of the reference region at least after the reference region is determined. The control process includes a process of maintaining a state in which an optical zoom function of the imaging apparatus is limited during the recording step.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A display method of displaying a video captured by an imaging apparatus comprising a processor and a display, the method comprising:
setting, by the processor, a plurality of set regions in a reference region which is an imaging region of a reference video;
selecting, by the processor, a recording region, which is a region of a record video to be recorded, from among the plurality of set regions;
reselecting, by the processor, the recording region from among the plurality of set regions to switch the recording region after the selection step is performed;
recording, by the processor, the record video on a recording medium;
displaying, by the processor, a plurality of set videos which are videos of the plurality of set regions; and
performing, by the processor, a control process relating to a change of the reference region at least after the reference region is determined,
wherein the control process includes a process of maintaining a state in which an optical zoom function of the imaging apparatus is limited during the recording step.

The display method according to claim 1,
wherein in the process of maintaining the state in which the optical zoom function is limited, a zoom driving unit for the optical zoom function is locked.
