Abstract
A light emitting element includes a light emitting unit and an optical path control unit provided above the light emitting unit, wherein a light reflection film including an opening is disposed between the light emitting unit and the optical path control unit. The light emitting element also includes a protective layer and a planarization layer between the light emitting unit and the optical path control unit from a side of the light emitting unit.

A light emitting element, comprising:
- a light emitting unit;
- and
- an optical path control unit above the light emitting unit;
- a protective layer and a planarization layer between the light emitting unit and the optical path control unit from a side of the light emitting unit;
- and
- a light reflection film between the protective layer and the planarization layer, wherein
- the light reflection film includes an opening, and
- the light reflection film has a convex shape in a direction away from the light emitting unit.

- a plurality of light emitting elements, wherein each light emitting element of the plurality of light emitting elements includes:
- a light emitting unit;
