Abstract
A display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area; a planarization layer over the substrate; a light-emitting element over the planarization layer in the display area; and a sealing layer over the light-emitting element, wherein an organic film of the sealing layer has a hydrophobic layer on a surface of an outer peripheral portion thereof.

A display device, comprising:
- a substrate including a display area and a non-display area;
- a planarization layer over the substrate;
- a light-emitting element over the planarization layer in the display area;
- a dam over the substrate in the non-display area;
- and
- a sealing layer over the light-emitting element,
- wherein an organic film of the sealing layer has a hydrophobic layer on a surface of an outer peripheral portion thereof, the hydrophobic layer being located inside the dam in a plan view.

- a dam over the substrate in the non-display area and surrounding the display area in a plan view;
