Method for controlling sidelink communication, and apparatus therefor

A method for controlling sidelink communication of a user equipment (UE) by another UE, the method comprising:

• configuring sidelink DRX configuration information including a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) parameter for the UE;
• transmitting the sidelink DRX configuration information to the UE;
• and
• transmitting a sidelink command media access control (MAC) control element (CE) instructing to stop the sidelink DRX parameter to the UE,
• wherein the sidelink DRX parameter includes a sidelink DRX on-duration timer, a sidelink DRX inactivity timer, a sidelink HARQ round trip time (RTT) timer, a sidelink slot offset, and information indicating a slot where a sidelink DRX cycle starts,
• wherein the sidelink DRX configuration information includes one or more sidelink DRX parameter sets configured to be distinguished for sidelink transmission and reception,
• wherein the sidelink command MAC CE includes source L2 ID information and destination L2 ID information, and
• wherein the sidelink command MAC CE instructs the UE to selectively stop, one or more of:
• a sidelink DRX on-duration timer, a sidelink DRX inactivity timer, and a sidelink HARQ round trip time (RTT) timer, associated with a corresponding sidelink DRX configuration identified based on the source L2 ID and the destination L2 ID.

A user equipment (UE) performing sidelink communication, the UE comprising:

• a receiver configured to receive sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration information from another UE;
• and
• a controller configured to configure a sidelink DRX parameter using the sidelink DRX configuration information,
• wherein the receiver further receives a sidelink command media access control (MAC) control element (CE) from the another UE,
• wherein the controller controls PSCCH transmission or reception not to be performed by stopping the sidelink DRX parameter based on the sidelink command MAC CE,
• wherein the sidelink DRX parameter includes one or more of a sidelink DRX on-duration timer, a sidelink DRX inactivity timer, a sidelink HARQ round trip time (RTT) timer, a sidelink slot offset, and information indicating a slot where a sidelink DRX cycle starts,
• wherein the sidelink DRX configuration information includes one or more sidelink DRX parameter sets configured to be distinguished for sidelink transmission and reception,
• wherein the sidelink command MAC CE includes source L2 ID information and destination L2 ID information, and
• wherein, upon receiving the sidelink command MAC CE, one or more of:
• a sidelink DRX on-duration timer, a sidelink DRX inactivity timer, and a sidelink HARQ round trip time (RTT) timer, associated with a corresponding sidelink DRX configuration identified based on the source L2 ID and the destination L2 ID are selectively stopped.
