Abstract
A direct link addressing method and apparatus. Direct communication is performed between a non-AP MLD and a non-AP MLD, or between a STA device and a non-AP MLD, thereby improving data transmission efficiency. The method is applied to a first device, and the first device includes one or more stations STAs. The first device is connected to a third device, and the third device includes a plurality of access points APs. A second device is connected to the third device, and the second device includes a plurality of STAs. The first device transmits a first data unit over a direct link between the first device and the second device, thereby increasing a data transmission rate.
Claims18
A direct link setup method, applied to a first device, wherein the first device comprises one or more stations (STAs) and is a first non-access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD), the first device is connected to a third device, the third device comprises a plurality of APs and is an AP MLD, a second device is connected to the third device, the second device comprises a plurality of STAs and is a second non-AP MLD, and the method comprises:
- determining at least two tunneled direct-link setup (TDLS) discovery request frames, wherein at least one of the at least two TDLS discovery request frames includes a first data unit and an identifier field indicating an address of an AP in the third device that corresponds to a target link, wherein the first data unit has an address configuration that includes an address of a STA of the first device, an address of a STA of the second device, and an address of an AP of the third device, and wherein the target link is a direct link between the STA of the first device and the STA of the second device via the AP of the third device, and different TDLS discovery request frames one-to-one correspond to different APs in the third device;
- and
- sending the at least two TDLS discovery request frames.
A first device, wherein the first device comprises one or more stations (STAs) and is a first non-AP multi-link device (MLD), the first device is connected to a third device, the third device comprises a plurality of access points (APs) and is an AP MLD, a second device is connected to the third device, the second device comprises a plurality of STAs and is a second non-AP MLD, and the first device comprising:
- a memory storage including instructions;
- and
- one or more processors in communication with the memory, wherein the one or more processors execute the instructions to:
- determine at least two tunneled direct-link setup (TDLS) discovery request frames, wherein at least one of the at least two TDLS discovery request frames includes a first data unit and an identifier field indicating an address of an AP in the third device that corresponds to a target link, wherein the first data unit has an address configuration that includes an address of a STA of the first device, an address of a STA of the second device, and an address of an AP of the third device, and wherein the target link is a direct link between the STA of the first device and the STA of the second device via the AP of the third device, and different TDLS discovery request frames one-to-one correspond to different APs in the third device;
- and
- send the at least two TDLS discovery request frames.
A non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer instructions, wherein the non-transitory computer-readable media applied in a first device, the first device comprises one or more stations (STAs) and is a first non-access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD), the first device is connected to a third device, the third device comprises a plurality of APs and is an AP MLD, a second device is connected to the third device, the second device comprises a plurality of STAs and is a second non-AP MLD, wherein the non-transitory computer-readable media that in response to being executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform the steps of:
- determine at least two tunneled direct-link setup (TDLS) discovery request frames, wherein at least one of the at least two TDLS discovery request frames includes a first data unit and an identifier field indicating an address of an AP in the third device that corresponds to a target link, wherein the first data unit has an address configuration that includes an address of a STA of the first device, an address of a STA of the second device, and an address of an AP of the third device, and wherein the target link is a direct link between the STA of the first device and the STA of the second device via the AP of the third device, and different TDLS discovery request frames one-to-one correspond to different APs in the third device;
- and
- send the at least two TDLS discovery request frames.
