Abstract
The present invention provides a method performed by sidelink remote user equipment (UE) and user equipment. The method comprises: receiving, by the sidelink remote UE out of coverage, a discovery message transmitted by sidelink relay UE, and saving a first cell identifier carried in the discovery message as a current cell identifier; receiving a system message forwarded by the sidelink relay UE; initiating RRC connection establishment, performing an access control procedure, and starting a first timer when access is barred; and during the running of the first timer, in case a first condition is met, then stopping the first timer, and performing barring alleviation.
Claims2
A user equipment (UE), comprising a processor configured to:
- start a timer T390 for an access category in a case that an access attempt associated with the access category is barred;
- in a case that (i) relay selection occurs while a timer T311 and the timer T390 are running, and (ii) a suitable relay UE is selected, regardless of whether a cell of the selected relay UE is different from a current cell of the UE, stop timers T390 for all access categories, and perform barring alleviation;
- and
- in a case that (i) the UE is in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle (RRC_IDLE) state or an RRC inactive (RRC_INACTIVE) state, (ii) relay selection or reselection occurs, and (iii) a cell of a selected or reselected relay UE changes while the timer T390 is running, stop timers T390 for all the access categories, and perform the barring alleviation.
A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- starting a timer T390 for an access category based on an access attempt associated with the access category is barred;
- based on (i) relay selection occurs while a timer T311 and the timer T390 are running, and (ii) a suitable relay UE is selected, regardless of whether a cell of the selected relay UE is different from a current cell of the UE, stopping timers T390 for all access categories, and performing barring alleviation;
- and
- based on (i) the UE is in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle (RRC_IDLE) state or an RRC inactive (RRC_INACTIVE) state, (ii) relay selection or reselection occurs, and a cell of a selected or reselected relay UE changes while the timer T390 is running, stopping timers T390 for all the access categories, and performing the barring alleviation.
