Abstract
A method of operating a central unit (CU) in a wireless communication system may comprise obtaining, by the CU, a first slice group identifier (ID) of a first terminal and slice mapping related information from a distributed unit (DU), transferring the first slice group ID and the slice mapping related information to an access and mobility management function (AMF) supporting the first slice group ID, obtaining mapping information related to a slice list supported by the first slice group for the first terminal from the AMF, and transferring the mapping information related to the slice list supported by the first slice group for the first terminal obtained from the AMF to the DU.
Claims6
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a centralized unit (CU) from a distributed unit (DU), a first message comprising information related to an identifier (ID) of a slice access stratum (AS) group list of supported slices related to the slice AS group;
- transmitting, by the CU to an access and mobility management function (AMF), a second message comprising information related to the ID of the slice AS group and the list of supported slices;
- receiving, by the CU from the AMF, a third message comprising information related to a list of single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) associated with the slice AS group;
- and
- transmitting, by the CU to the DU, a fourth message comprising information related to the list of the S-NSSAI.
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a user equipment (UE), configuration information comprising information related to an identifier (ID) of a slice access stratum (AS) group from a distributed unit (DU);
- performing, by the UE, a random access procedure based on a random access channel (RACH) resource related to the ID of the slice AS group;
- and
- performing, by the UE, a registration which comprises:
- transmitting a registration request message comprising capability information indicating whether the UE supports the slice AS group to an access and mobility management function (AMF);
- and
- receiving a registration accept message comprising information related to a list of single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) associated with the slice AS group from the AMF.
A user equipment (UE) comprising:
- at least one transceiver;
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory operably connectable to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, perform operations comprising:
- receiving configuration information comprising information related to an identifier (ID) of a slice access stratum (AS) group from a distributed unit (DU);
- performing a random access procedure based on a random access channel (RACH) resource related to the ID of the slice AS group;
- and
- performing a registration which comprises:
- transmitting a registration request message comprising capability information indicating whether the UE supports the slice AS group to an access and mobility management function (AMF);
- and
- receiving a registration accept message comprising information related to a list of single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) associated with the slice AS group from the AMF.
