Abstract
A method is performed by a wireless device for handling quality-of-experience, QoE, data, wherein the wireless device comprises a storage medium. The method comprises: receiving, from a base station, a request to perform one or more QoE measurements according to a QoE measurement configuration; initiating one or more QoE measurements according to the QoE measurement configuration; and storing results of the one or more QoE measurements in a storage portion of the storage medium allocated for the storage of QoE measurements. The storage portion has a configured maximum size.
Claims23
A method performed by a wireless device for handling quality-of-experience (QoE) data, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a base station, a request to perform one or more QoE measurements according to a QoE measurement configuration;
- initiating one or more ongoing QoE measurements according to the QoE measurement configuration;
- storing, on an ongoing basis, QoE report data generated from the one or more ongoing QoE measurements in buffer reserved at a radio resource control (RRC) layer for QoE measurement reporting to the base station, the buffer having a configured maximum size that is less than a capacity of a storage medium in which the buffer is reserved;
- and
- transmitting an indication to the base station responsive to determining that the buffer is full to a configured threshold that is less than the configured maximum size.
A wireless device for handling quality-of-experience (QoE) data, the wireless device comprising:
- a radio frequency transceiver;
- processing circuitry configured to:
- receive, via the radio frequency transceiver, a request from a base station to perform one or more QoE measurements according to a QoE measurement configuration;
- initiate one or more ongoing QoE measurements according to the QoE measurement configuration;
- store, on an ongoing basis, QoE report data generated from the one or more ongoing QoE measurements in a buffer reserved at a radio resource control (RRC) layer for QoE measurement reporting to the base station, the buffer having a configured maximum size that is less than a capacity of a storage medium in which the buffer is reserved;
- and
- transmit, via the radio frequency transceiver, an indication to the base station, the indication transmitted responsive to the wireless device determining that the buffer is full to a configured threshold that is less than the configured maximum size;
- and
- power supply circuitry configured to supply power to the wireless device.
