Abstract
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for sidelink device discovery. One method includes transmitting, at a first sidelink device and over a sidelink interface, a periodic discovery message for performing discovery of at least one second sidelink device. The method includes discovering the at least one second sidelink device over the sidelink interface. The method includes transmitting at least one source layer 2 identifier of the at least one second sidelink device discovered by the first sidelink device to a third wireless device.
Claims20
A method performed by a first sidelink device, the method comprising:
- transmitting, over a sidelink interface, a periodic discovery message for performing discovery of a plurality of second sidelink devices, wherein the first sidelink device comprises a first relay user equipment (UE);
- discovering the plurality of second sidelink devices over the sidelink interface;
- and
- transmitting, to a second relay UE or a base station, a discovery member list and a set of source layer 2 identifiers corresponding to the plurality of second sidelink devices discovered by the first sidelink device.
A first sidelink device, comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the first sidelink device to:
- transmit, over a sidelink interface, a periodic discovery message for performing discovery of a plurality of second sidelink devices, wherein the first sidelink device comprises a first relay user equipment (UE);
- discover the plurality of second sidelink devices over the sidelink interface;
- and
- transmit, to a second relay UE or a base station, a discovery member list along with a set of source layer 2 identifiers corresponding to the plurality of second sidelink devices discovered by the first sidelink device.
A first sidelink device, comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the first sidelink device to:
- communicate, using a first sidelink interface, with a second sidelink device, wherein the second sidelink device communicates with a third sidelink device using a second sidelink interface;
- and
- receive a radio link failure (RLF) indication from the second sidelink device, wherein the RLF indication indicates a RLF condition for the second sidelink interface between the second sidelink device and third sidelink device, wherein the RLF indication further indicates at least one candidate sidelink device;
- and
- perform relay reselection based on the RLF indication from the second sidelink device by autonomously transmitting a broadcast discovery request message to the at least one candidate sidelink device.
A method performed by a first sidelink device, the method comprising:
- communicating, using a first sidelink interface, with a second sidelink device, wherein the second sidelink device communicates with a third sidelink device using a second sidelink interface;
- and
- receiving a radio link failure (RLF) indication from the second sidelink device, wherein the RLF indication indicates a RLF condition for the second sidelink interface between the second sidelink device and third sidelink device, wherein the RLF indication further indicates at least one candidate sidelink device;
- and
- performing relay reselection based on the RLF indication from the second sidelink device by autonomously transmitting a broadcast discovery request message to the at least one candidate sidelink device.
