Abstract
An image transmission method performed by instructions in an image transmission device including a processor and a memory storing the instructions executable by the processor includes, receiving a video, recognizing an object from the received video, generating metadata of the recognized object, calculating a score of the recognized object using the generated metadata; selecting the recognized object as a main object when the score exceeds a reference value, transmitting the metadata on the selected main object, and transmitting one of an image frame including the main object in the video and a best shot cropped from the image frame.
Claims16
An image display method performed by instructions in an image reception device including a processor and a memory storing the instructions executable by the processor, the image display method comprising:
- receiving first metadata related to a first main object from a first image transmission device connected to the image reception device via a network;
- receiving a first best shot, which is a cropped portion of a first image frame containing the first main object, the first image frame being extracted from a video obtained by the first image transmission device;
- receiving second metadata related to a second main object from a second image transmission device connected to the image reception device via a network;
- receiving a second image frame containing the second main object, extracted from a video obtained by the second image transmission device;
- generating a second best shot by cropping a region occupied by the second main object within the second image frame using the second metadata related to the second main object;
- displaying both the received first best shot and the generated second best shot on a screen, and
- transmitting a back-end request to the second image transmission device, wherein it is determined whether the second image frame containing the second main object is received or the second best shot is received from the second image transmission device according to the back-end request.
An image reception device, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing computer-implemented instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to:
- receive first metadata related to a first main object from a first image transmission device connected to an image reception device via a network;
- receive a first best shot, which is a cropped portion of a first image frame containing the first main object, the first image frame being extracted from a video obtained by the first image transmission device;
- receive second metadata related to a second main object from a second image transmission device connected to the image reception device via a network;
- receive a second image frame containing the second main object, extracted from a video obtained by the second image transmission device;
- generate a second best shot by cropping a region occupied by the second main object within the second image frame using the second metadata related to the second main object;
- display both the received first best shot and the generated second best shot on a screen;
- and
- transmit a back-end request to the second image transmission device, wherein it is determined whether the second image frame containing the second main object is received or the second best shot is received from the second image transmission device according to the back-end request.
An image display method performed by an image reception device including a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor, the method comprising:
- receiving metadata on a main object selected by an image transmission device connected to the image reception device through a network;
- receiving one of:
- (i) an image frame including the main object, or
- (ii) a best shot cropped from the image frame,
- wherein the one of the image frame and the best shot is selected by the image transmission device based on at least one of:
- (a) a resource condition of the image transmission device, or
- (b) a back-end request received from the image reception device;
- when the image frame including the main object is received, generating a best shot by cropping a partial image occupied by the main object using the metadata;
- and
- displaying at least one of the received best shot and the generated best shot on a screen.
