Method and device for quasi co-location determination in wireless communication

A base station, comprising:

• a transmitter configured to:
• transmit first control information in a first time-frequency resource set of a control resource set, wherein the first control information indicates a first reference signal resource;
• and
• transmit second control information in a second time-frequency resource set of the control resource set, wherein the second control information is transmitted over a channel having a demodulation reference signal, wherein:
• the control resource set is associated with a first Downlink control information (DCI) format having a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) that is scrambled by a first identity (ID) and is associated with a second DCI format,
• a quasi co-location of the demodulation reference signal and the first reference signal resource is based on a second ID with which a CRC of the second DCI format is scrambled,
• on a condition that the CRC of the second DCI format is scrambled by the second ID, the demodulation reference signal and the first reference signal resource are not quasi co-located, and
• on a condition that the CRC of the second DCI format is not scrambled by the second ID, the demodulation reference signal and the first reference signal resource are quasi co-located.

A method, comprising:

• receiving first control information in a first time-frequency resource set of a control resource set, wherein the first control information indicates a first reference signal resource;
• and
• receiving second control information in a second time-frequency resource set of the control resource set, wherein the second control information is received over a channel having a demodulation reference signal, wherein:
• the control resource set is associated with a first Downlink control information (DCI) format having a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) that is scrambled by a first identity (ID) and is associated with a second DCI format,
• a quasi co-location of the demodulation reference signal and the first reference signal resource is based on a second ID with which a CRC of the second DCI format is scrambled,
• on a condition that the CRC of the second DCI format is scrambled by the second ID, the demodulation reference signal and the first reference signal resource are not quasi co-located, and
• on a condition that the CRC of the second DCI format is not scrambled by the second ID, the demodulation reference signal and the first reference signal resource are quasi co-located.
