Encoding method, decoding method, and related apparatus

A decoding apparatus comprises at least one processor and at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor, wherein the at least one memory stores programming instructions for execution by the at least one processor that, when upon being executed, cause the decoding apparatus to:

• receive a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) from an encoding apparatus, wherein the PPDU carries a bit sequence encoded by the encoding apparatus;
• and
• decode, based on a second codeword number and a second codeword length, the bit sequence encoded by the encoding apparatus, to obtain decoded data bits,
• wherein the second codeword number and the second codeword length are determined based on first available bits and a first correspondence,
• wherein the first correspondence is a correspondence among the first available bits, a first codeword number, and a first codeword length of the encoding apparatus at a first encoding rate,
• wherein the first available bits are determined based on first payload bits and the first encoding rate,
• wherein the first payload bits are data bits in the encoded bit sequence,
• wherein the second codeword number is obtained based on the first codeword number, and
• wherein the second codeword length is obtained based on the first codeword length.

An encoding method comprising:

• determining, by an encoding apparatus, first payload bits that are to-be-encoded data bits;
• determining, by the encoding apparatus, first available bits based on the first payload bits and a first encoding rate;
• and
• determining, by the encoding apparatus, a second codeword number and a second codeword length based on the first available bits and a first correspondence,
• wherein the first correspondence is a correspondence among the first available bits, a first codeword number and a first codeword length of the encoding apparatus at the first encoding rate,
• wherein the second codeword number is obtained based on the first codeword number, and
• wherein the second codeword length is obtained based on the first codeword length.
