Cable stripping tool

A cable stripping tool for removing a cable jacket from a cable to expose a plurality of neutral wires, the cable stripping tool comprising:

• a housing;
• a frame coupled to the housing and configured to support the cable stripping tool on the cable;
• a mandrel extending from the housing and rotatable about a first axis with respect to the housing;
• a starter tool supported by one of the mandrel and housing and configured to expose an end of a starter wire of the plurality of neutral wires;
• a wire slot positioned on the mandrel, the wire slot configured to engage the starter wire;
• and
• a motor supported by the housing and operably coupled to the mandrel to rotate the mandrel about the first axis, wherein rotation of the mandrel by the motor winds the starter wire around the mandrel such that the cable jacket is torn by the starter wire.

A cable stripping tool for removing a cable jacket from a cable to expose a plurality of neutral wires, the cable stripping tool comprising:

• a housing;
• a frame coupled to the housing and configured to support the cable stripping tool on the cable;
• a mandrel extending from the housing and rotatable about a first axis with respect to the housing;
• the mandrel including a slot configured to engage a starter wire of the plurality of neutral wires;
• a motor supported by the housing and operably coupled to the mandrel to rotate the mandrel about the first axis, wherein rotation of the mandrel by the motor winds the starter wire around the mandrel such that the cable jacket is torn by the starter wire;
• and
• a braid tool configured to wind the plurality of neutral wires exposed by removing the cable jacket together into a strand,
• wherein the braid tool is coupled to an end of the mandrel opposite the motor.
