Method of operating an audio device system and an audio device system

An audio device system comprising:

• an acoustical-electrical input transducer block;
• a sound source signal separator adapted configured to receive an input signal from the acoustical-electrical input transducer block and to provide a plurality of sound source signals, each of the plurality of sound source signals representing a respective sound source of a present sound environment;
• a speech content comparator configured to compare speech content of each of the plurality of sound source signals using semantic analysis performed by a language model applied to text derived from the plurality of sound source signals, wherein the speech content comparator is further configured to compare the speech content of each of the plurality of sound source signals with at least one other of the plurality of sound source signals, and further configured to detect, based on the semantic analysis and based on timing of speech endings and speech onsets, at least one conversation signal comprising at least two sound source signals representing speakers participating in a same conversation;
• a user interface configured to enable a user to select a detected conversation signal from among the at least one conversation signal;
• a digital signal processor configured to process and combine the plurality of sound source signals in order to provide an output signal, wherein a contribution to the output signal from the sound source signals not included in the detected conversation signal, which is selected, is suppressed compared to a contribution from the detected conversation signal that is selected;
• and
• an electrical-acoustical output transducer configured to receive the output signal and provide an audio output.
