Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an image display device and a method for controlling the same that enable use of the image display device to be implemented with greater consideration of user convenience. Provided is an image display device including a power supply, a communicator that is in communication with an external device, and a controller that determines whether to activate a power sync function based on whether a predetermined time has elapsed from one reference time point of a time point when alternating current (AC) power supply to the power supply is turned off and then on and a time point when direct current (DC) background power is turned on.
Claims10
An image display device comprising:
- a power supply;
- a communicator configured to be in communication with an external device;
- and
- a controller configured to determine whether to activate a power sync function based on whether a predetermined time has elapsed from one reference time point of a time point when alternating current (AC) power supply to the power supply is turned on and a time point when direct current (DC) background power is turned on.
A method for controlling an image display device, the method comprising:
- establishing communication with an external device;
- and
- determining whether to activate a power sync function based on whether a predetermined time has elapsed from one reference time point of a time point when alternating current (AC) power supply to a power supply is turned on and a time point when direct current (DC) background power is turned on.
