Abstract
A computer implemented method processes a video. A processor set identifies frames in the video. The processor set recognizes objects in a frame in the frames. The processor set modifies each of the objects in the frame that do not fit the geospatial model for the frames to form a revised frame for the video.
Claims20
A computer implemented method for processing a video, the computer implemented method comprising:
- identifying, by a processor set, frames in the video;
- identifying, by the processor set, a historical time context for the frames, wherein the historical time context comprises a desired past historical time period that content in the video is intended to represent for historical authenticity, the desired past historical time period being different from an actual time when the video was recorded;
- creating, by the processor set, a geospatial model for the video based on the historical time context and a geographic location that the video is intended to represent, the geospatial model defining period-appropriate attributes for objects consistent with the historical time context and the geographic location, and the geospatial model associating the frames with the historical time context and the geographic location;
- recognizing, by the processor set, objects in a frame in the frames, wherein the recognizing of the objects in the frame is performed subsequent to the creating of the geospatial model such that the geospatial model is fully established before any object in the frame is recognized;
- and
- modifying, by the processor set, each of the objects in the frame that do not fit the geospatial model pertaining to the historical time context for the frame for the video to form a revised frame for the video.

A computer system comprising:
- a processor set;
- a set of one or more computer-readable storage media;
- and
- program instructions, collectively stored in the set of one or more storage media, for causing the processor set to perform the following computer operations:
- identify frames in a video;
- identify a historical time context for the frames, wherein the historical time context comprises a desired past historical time period that content in the video is intended to represent for historical authenticity, the desired past historical time period being different from an actual time when the video was recorded;
- create a geospatial model for the video based on the historical time context and a geographic location that the video is intended to represent, the geospatial model defining period-appropriate attributes for objects consistent with the historical time context and the geographic location, and the geospatial model associating the frames with the historical time context and the geographic location;
- recognize objects in a frame in the frames, wherein the recognizing of the objects in the frame is performed subsequent to the creating of the geospatial model such that the geospatial model is fully established before any object in the frame is recognized;
- and
- modify each of the objects in the frame that do not fit the geospatial model pertaining to the historical time context for the frame for the video to form a revised frame for the video.
7 more elements
A computer program product for processing a video, the computer program product comprising:
- a set of one or more computer-readable storage media;
- program instructions, collectively stored in the set of one or more storage media, for causing a processor set to perform the following computer operations:
- identify frames in the video;
- identify a historical time context for the frames, wherein the historical time context comprises a desired past historical time period that content in the video is intended to represent for historical authenticity, the desired past historical time period being different from an actual time when the video was recorded;
- create a geospatial model for the video based on the historical time context and a geographic location that the video is intended to represent, the geospatial model defining period-appropriate attributes for objects consistent with the historical time context and the geographic location, and the geospatial model associating the frames with the historical time context and the geographic location;
- recognize objects in a frame in the frames, wherein the recognizing of the objects in the frame is performed subsequent to the creating of the geospatial model such that the geospatial model is fully established before any object in the frame is recognized;
- and
- modify each of the objects in the frame that do not fit the geospatial model pertaining to the historical time context for the frame for the video to form a revised frame for the video.
