Systems and methods for generating augmented reality scenes

A computing system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to:
• receive, via a computing device, live camera feed data depicting a defined space, the defined space being defined by interior surfaces including at least one wall;
• extract three-dimensional geometric scan data and first texture data for the defined from the live camera feed data;
• detect an object occluding a first one of the interior surfaces of the defined space based on performing object recognition in video processing of the live camera feed data;
• in response to detecting the object:
• identify a corresponding portion of the first interior surface occluded by the detected object based on determining an area of overlap between a three-dimensional bounding box encompassing a position of the detected object and the first interior surface;
• and
• estimate texture data for the corresponding portion of the first interior surface based on the first texture data for the defined space, and
• output texture data for the interior surfaces based on the first texture data for the defined space and the estimated texture data for the corresponding portion of the first interior surface.

A non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, configure the processor to:

• receive, via a computing device, live camera feed data depicting a defined space, the defined space being defined by interior surfaces including at least one wall;
• extract three-dimensional geometric scan data and first texture data for the defined space from the live camera feed data;
• detect an object occluding a first one of the interior surfaces of the defined space based on performing object recognition in video processing of the live camera feed data;
• in response to detecting the object:
• identify a corresponding portion of the first interior surface occluded by the detected object based on determining an area of overlap between a three-dimensional bounding box encompassing a position of the detected object and the first interior surface;
• and
• estimate texture data for the corresponding portion of the first interior surface based on the first texture data for the defined space, and
• output texture data for the interior surfaces based on the first texture data for the defined space and the estimated texture data for the corresponding portion of the first interior surface.
