Enhanced reinforcement learning-based uplift modeling to mitigate discrepancies

A system for modeling impact to detect and mitigate user outcomes, the system comprising:

• a first device configured to present pages using an online retail system;
• a second device configured to cause presentation, at the first device, of the pages using the online retail system;
• and
• a multi-headed neural network,
• wherein the second device is further configured to:
• identify a context of a page view associated with first information of a product presented, using the first device, to a user on a first page of the online retail system and second product information of the product presented, using the first device, to the user on a second page of the online retail system;
• provide the neural network, wherein the neural network is configured to estimate an impact of the context of the page view on a user;
• determine, using the neural network, the impact;
• and
• cause, based on the impact, performance of an action associated with mitigating the context of the page view, wherein performance of the action comprises updating the first page of the online retail system during a user session during which the context of the page view occurs.

A device for modeling impact to detect and mitigate user outcomes, the device comprising memory coupled to at least one processor configured to:

• cause presentation, at a second device, of pages using an online retail system;
• identify a context of a page view associated with first information of a product presented, using the second device, to a user on a first page of the online retail system and second product information of the product presented, using the second device, to the user on a second page of the online retail system;
• provide processing circuitry of a neural network, wherein the neural network is configured to estimate an impact of the context of the page view on a user;
• determine, using the neural network, the impact;
• and
• cause, based on the impact, performance of an action associated with mitigating the context of the page view, wherein performance of the action comprises updating the first page of the online retail system during a user session during which the context of the page view occurs.
