Systems and methods for keyless blockchain login using passwordless credentials

A system comprising:

• at least one processor of a user device associated with a user, the at least one processor being in communication with at least one non-transitory computer readable medium having computer instructions stored thereon, wherein the at least one processor, upon execution of the computer instructions, is configured to perform steps comprising:
• receiving a passwordless secret key request requesting access to a passwordless secret key in response to a user selection on the user device to access the secret key;
• authenticating the user based at least in part on at least one on-device authentication mechanism;
• deriving a passwordless cryptographic signature using the passwordless secret key based at least in part on the user being authenticated by the at least one on-device authentication mechanism;
• generating an authentication request to a keyless account service, the authentication request comprising at least one nonce field populated with a passwordless public key associated with the passwordless cryptographic signature;
• receiving from the keyless account service in response to the authentication request, a keyless account service signature computed over the passwordless public key and a managing application identifier of a managing application;
• and
• submitting a transaction to a blockchain, the transaction comprising:
• the passwordless cryptographic signature associated with the passwordless secret key,
• the keyless account service signature, and
• at least one transaction parameter;
• wherein the blockchain is configured to validate the transaction based at least in part on a verification of the passwordless cryptographic signature using the passwordless public key, and a verification of the keyless account service signature, using a public key associated with the keyless account service to verify the authenticity of the passwordless public key.
