Abstract
Systems and methods for processing and distributing a service request. The service request is received from a client, and a location of data is identified. A status of a computational storage device associated with the location is determined. The service request is transmitted to a storage service associated with the computational storage device based on the status. A response to the service request from the storage service, is identified, and the response is provided to the client.
Claims20
A method for processing and distributing a service request, the method comprising:
- providing a gateway between a client and a service application, wherein the service application is communicatively coupled to a first computational storage device and a second computational storage device different from the first computational storage device;
- receiving, at the gateway, a first service request from the client, wherein the first service request identifies data for performing a first service;
- based on receiving the first service request:
- identifying, by the gateway, a location of the data;
- identifying, by the gateway, based on the location, the first computational storage device;
- determining, by the gateway, a status of the first computational storage device associated with the location;
- transmitting, by the gateway, the first service request to the service application based on the status, wherein the service application is configured to transmit a command for configuring the first computational storage device with a program for performing an operation associated with the first service request, transmit a first signal to the first computational storage device for processing the first service request based on the program, receive a response from the first computational storage device, and forward the response to the gateway;
- and
- providing, by the gateway, the response to the client.
A system for processing and distributing a service request, the system comprising:
- a memory device;
- a processor;
- and
- a memory, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- provide a gateway between a client and a service application, wherein the service application is communicatively coupled to a first computational storage device and a second computational storage device different from the first computational storage device;
- receive, at the gateway, a first service request from the client, wherein the first service request identifies data for performing a first service;
- identify, by the gateway, a location of the data;
- identify, by the gateway, based on the location, the first computational storage device;
- determine, by the gateway, a status of the first computational storage device associated with the location;
- transmit, by the gateway, the first service request to the service application based on the status, wherein the service application is configured to transmit a command for configuring the first computational storage device with a program for performing an operation associated with the first service request, transmit a first signal to the first computational storage device for processing the first service request based on the program, receive a response from the first computational storage device, and forward the response to the gateway;
- and
- provide, by the gateway, the response to the client.
