Abstract
The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to manage kernels within a secure element for performance of a data transfer.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a device, configure the one or more processors to:
- receive information for a data transfer, the information including an application identifier;
- determine a virtual kernel identifier based at least in part on the application identifier, the virtual kernel identifier enabling a mapping of the application identifier to a respective kernel stored by the device;
- determine the respective kernel to be utilized for performance of the data transfer based at least in part on the virtual kernel identifier and the mapping;
- determine a configuration for the respective kernel based at least in part on the virtual kernel identifier;
- configure the respective kernel with the configuration;
- and
- utilize the respective kernel, configured with the configuration, to facilitate the data transfer.

- an application processor to execute a terminal application for a data transfer;
- and
- a secure element coupled to the application processor, the secure element to:
- receive information for the data transfer, the information including an application identifier;
- determine a virtual kernel identifier based at least in part on the application identifier, the virtual kernel identifier enabling a mapping of the application identifier to a respective kernel stored by the device;
- determine the respective kernel to be utilized for performance of the data transfer based at least in part on the virtual kernel identifier and the mapping;
- determine a configuration for the respective kernel based at least in part on the virtual kernel identifier;
- configure the respective kernel with the configuration;
- and
- utilize the respective kernel, configured with the configuration, to facilitate the data transfer.

A method of performing a data transfer, comprising:
- executing, by one or more processors, a terminal application for the data transfer;
- receiving, by secure element coupled to the one or more processors, information for the data transfer, the information including an application identifier;
- determining, by the secure element, a virtual kernel identifier based at least in part on the application identifier, the virtual kernel identifier enabling a mapping of the application identifier to a respective kernel stored by a device;
- determining, by the secure element, the respective kernel to be utilized for performance of the data transfer based at least in part on the virtual kernel identifier and the mapping;
- determining, by the secure element, a configuration for the respective kernel based at least in part on the virtual kernel identifier;
- configuring, by the secure element, the respective kernel with the configuration;
- and
- utilizing, by the secure element, the respective kernel, configured with the configuration, to facilitate the data transfer.
