Method, device, and product for allocating target task

An electronic device, comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• memory coupled to the at least one processor and having instructions stored therein, wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to perform actions comprising:
• acquiring a request for allocation of a target resource for a target task;
• determining a first state and a second state of each node in multiple nodes, wherein the first state is indicative of a current state of available resources of each node, and the second state is indicative of a predicted state of available resources of each node after completion of the target task, wherein each node has at least one category of resources, and each category of resources has a category threshold, and the determining a first state and a second state of each node in the multiple nodes comprises performing the following operations for the first state and the second state of each node:
• determining the node to be in an available state in response to each category of resources in the available resources being greater than the corresponding category threshold;
• determining the node to be in a reasonable state in response to each category of resources in the available resources being smaller than the corresponding category threshold;
• and
• determining the node to be in a wasted state in response to at least one category of resources in the available resources being smaller than a corresponding category threshold and at least one category of resources being greater than a corresponding category threshold;
• determining types of state transitions based on the first state and the second state of each node in accordance with a state transition policy;
• assigning priorities to the nodes based on the determined types of state transitions, the priorities including at least first, second and third priorities, with the second priority being lower than the first priority and the third priority being lower than the second priority;
• selecting, based on the assigned priorities, a target node from the multiple nodes for use in performing the target task, as a node having a highest one of the priorities among the priorities assigned to the nodes, wherein responsive to the highest one of the priorities among the priorities assigned to the nodes being lower than at least the first and second priorities, initiating a similarity analysis for at least a subset of the nodes in conjunction with the selecting;
• and
• executing the target task on the target node.

A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable medium and comprising having machine-executable instructions stored therein, wherein the machine-executable instructions, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform actions comprising:

• acquiring a request for allocation of a target resource for a target task;
• determining a first state and a second state of each node in multiple nodes, wherein the first state is indicative of a current state of available resources of each node, and the second state is indicative of a predicted state of available resources of each node after completion of the target task, wherein each node has at least one category of resources, and each category of resources has a category threshold, and the determining a first state and a second state of each node in the multiple nodes comprises performing the following operations for the first state and the second state of each node:
• determining the node to be in an available state in response to each category of resources in the available resources being greater than the corresponding category threshold;
• determining the node to be in a reasonable state in response to each category of resources in the available resources being smaller than the corresponding category threshold;
• and
• determining the node to be in a wasted state in response to at least one category of resources in the available resources being smaller than a corresponding category threshold and at least one category of resources being greater than a corresponding category threshold;
• determining types of state transitions based on the first state and the second state of each node in accordance with a state transition policy;
• assigning priorities to the nodes based on the determined types of state transitions, the priorities including at least first, second and third priorities, with the second priority being lower than the first priority and the third priority being lower than the second priority;
• selecting, based on the assigned priorities, a target node from the multiple nodes for use in performing the target task, as a node having a highest one of the priorities among the priorities assigned to the nodes, wherein responsive to the highest one of the priorities among the priorities assigned to the nodes being lower than at least the first and second priorities, initiating a similarity analysis for at least a subset of the nodes in conjunction with the selecting;
• and
• executing the target task on the target node.
