Low reflectance removable lens stack

A method of manufacturing a face shield, the method comprising:

• providing a base layer having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the base layer comprising a transparent polymer that defines a moth eye pattern on the first side of the base layer;
• providing a first removable lens layer having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the first removable lens layer having a transparent non-tacky coating on the second side thereof;
• pressing together the first side of the base layer and the second side of the first removable lens layer so that the moth eye pattern debosses the transparent non-tacky coating of the first removable lens layer;
• and
• adhering the second side of the base layer to a transparent window of a surgical helmet, hood, or gown.

A method of manufacturing a face shield, the method comprising:

• providing a base layer having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the base layer comprising a transparent polymer that defines a moth eye pattern on the first side of the base layer;
• providing a first removable lens layer having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the first removable lens layer having a transparent non-tacky coating on the second side thereof;
• pressing together the first side of the base layer and the second side of the first removable lens layer so that the moth eye pattern debosses the transparent non-tacky coating of the first removable lens layer;
• and
• attaching the base layer at a perimeter thereof to a surgical helmet, hood, or gown.
