Detector, automatic door system, and opening and closing system

An automatic door system comprising a detector and an automatic door, the detector including:

• a detection unit including
• one or more transmitting elements configured to transmit a frequency modulated
• continuous wave (FMCW) type transmitted electromagnetic wave, two or more receiving elements configured to receive a reflected electromagnetic wave obtained by the transmitted electromagnetic wave being reflected by a target,
• a calculation unit configured to calculate a distance to the target and an angle of arrival of the reflected electromagnetic wave using the transmitted electromagnetic wave and the reflected electromagnetic wave, and
• a position determination unit configured to determine a position of the target using the distance and the angle of arrival;
• and
• a detection region setting unit configured to set a detection region in a detectable range in which the target is to be detected,
• wherein the detection unit executes detection in the detection region to determine the position of the target,
• wherein the detection region setting unit is configured to set a plurality of regions as the detection region,
• wherein the detection region setting unit is configured to switch between a plurality of setting patterns, each of which includes one or more detection regions, based on a predetermined condition, the predetermined condition including the day of the week and the time of day, and
• wherein the automatic door is configured to open and close based on a detection result in the detection region set by the detection region setting unit of the detector.
