Abstract
Disclosed is a brake component assembly for a vehicle wheel brake, comprising a first component and a second component, wherein the first and second component are movable relative to one another for engaging and releasing the vehicle wheel brake, wherein a self-lubricating material is provided that is configured to lubricate at least one pair of surfaces that contact one another and that are movable relative to one another when moving the first and second component relative to one another, wherein the self-lubricating material is elastically deformable.

Brake component assembly for a vehicle wheel brake,
- comprising a first component and a second component,
- wherein the first and second component are movable relative to one another when engaging and releasing the vehicle wheel brake,
- wherein a self-lubricating material is provided that is configured to lubricate at least one pair of surfaces that contact one another and that are movable relative to one another when moving the first and second component relative to one another,
- wherein the self-lubricating material is elastically deformable,
- wherein the self-lubricating material is configured to elastically deform so as to dampen contact forces and reduce vibration and noise while lubricating the contacting surfaces.
