Abstract
Provided is a method for producing a spectacle lens including a metal-containing layer, comprising: irradiating, with an electron beam by electron-beam vapor deposition, a vapor deposition source having metal particles supported on a carrier to form the metal-containing layer.

A method for producing a spectacle lens including a metal- containing layer, the method comprising:
- causing a solution containing metal particles to be impregnated into a carrier and then performing a drying treatment to have the metal particles supported on the carrier, and
- irradiating, with an electron beam by electron-beam vapor deposition, a vapor deposition source having the metal particles supported on the carrier to form the metal-containing layer,
- wherein the carrier is a sintered filter made of a metal or an alloy,
- wherein the spectacle lens comprises, in order, a lens substrate, an inorganic layer, and water-repellant layer,
- wherein the metal-containing layer is provided between the inorganic layer and the water-repellant layer, and
- wherein the metal-containing layer has a film thickness of more than 1 nm.
