An isolated nucleic acid comprising a sequence encoding parathyroid hormone (PTH), wherein the PTH sequence is downstream of a synthetic promoter comprising:
- (1) a Core Clock response element comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 1 and (2) a minimal promoter derived from CMV that is downstream of the Core Clock response element.
