## Abstract

An axle arrangement for a wheelbarrow is disclosed. The wheelbarrow axle allows for a quick removal of the axle to replace or repair a tire mounted to the axle. The wheelbarrow axle also allows for a one-wheel arrangement between handle shafts or two wheels on the exterior of the handle shafts.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A leg for a wheelbarrow, comprising:
a leg front portion, the leg front portion affixed to a handle shaft of the wheelbarrow, the handle shaft having an axis and a planar bottom surface;
a leg rear portion, the leg rear portion affixed to the handle shaft of the wheelbarrow; and
a leg bottom portion intermediate of the leg front portion and the leg rear portion, the leg bottom portion comprising a width and having a center line and the center line of the leg bottom portion center line being parallel to a ground surface upon which the wheelbarrow rests;
wherein a horizontal distance between a location where the leg front portion is affixed to the handle shaft and a location where the leg front portion meets the center line of the leg bottom portion defines a leg front offset;
wherein a horizontal distance between a location where the leg rear portion is affixed to the handle shaft and a location where the leg rear portion meets the center line of the leg bottom portion defines a leg rear offset; and
wherein the horizontal distance of the leg front offset and the horizontal distance of the leg rear offset are both greater than the width of the leg bottom portion.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 1 wherein the leg front offset is larger than the leg rear offset.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 1 further comprising a leg front portion tab and a leg rear portion tab.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 3 wherein the leg front portion is affixed to the handle shaft by the leg front portion tab and the leg rear portion is attached to the handle shaft by the leg rear portion tab.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 4 wherein the leg front portion tab and leg rear portion tab are planar and parallel to the handle shaft bottom planar surface.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 5 wherein the leg front portion tab and leg rear portion tab are parallel to the handle shaft axis.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 1 wherein the leg is formed of a single piece of metal.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 1 wherein the wheelbarrow comprises a stabilizer having a bottom portion, the stabilizer bottom portion having a center line and the center line of the stabilizer bottom portion is parallel to the center line of the leg bottom portion.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 8 wherein the center line of the leg bottom portion and the center line of the stabilizer bottom portion are parallel to the ground surface upon which the wheelbarrow rests.

### Claim 10 (depends on 3)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 3 wherein the leg front offset is larger than the leg rear offset.

### Claim 11

A leg for a wheelbarrow, comprising:
a leg front portion having a tab, the leg front portion affixed to a handle shaft of the wheelbarrow, the handle shaft having an axis and a planar bottom surface;
a leg rear portion having a tab, the leg rear portion affixed to the handle shaft of the wheelbarrow; and
a leg bottom portion intermediate of the leg front portion and leg rear portion comprising a width and having a center line, the leg bottom portion being parallel to a ground surface upon which the wheelbarrow rests;
wherein a horizontal distance between a location where the leg front portion is affixed to the handle shaft and a location where the leg front portion meets the center line of the leg bottom portion defines a leg front offset;
wherein a horizontal distance between a location where the leg rear portion is affixed to the handle shaft and a location where the leg rear portion meets the center line of the leg bottom portion defines a leg rear offset; and
wherein the horizontal distance of the leg front offset and the horizontal distance of the leg rear offset are both greater than the width of the leg bottom portion and the horizontal distance of the leg front offset is larger than the horizontal distance of the leg rear offset.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 11 wherein the leg front portion is affixed to the handle shaft by the leg front portion tab and the leg rear portion is attached to the handle shaft by the leg rear portion tab.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The leg for the wheelbarrow of claim 12 wherein the leg bottom portion further comprises a width and the horizontal offset is greater than the width of the leg bottom portion.
