Battery control with offset correction

A vehicle, comprising:

• an electric machine;
• and
• a battery arrangement;
• and
• wherein battery arrangement comprises:
• a plurality of battery cells, of which a first sub-number connected in series forms a first string, a second sub-number connected in series forms a second string, and a third sub-number connected in series forms a third string, the first string, the second string, and the third string are connectable to the electric machine as one respective phase;
• a plurality of battery cell controllers forming a plurality of slave nodes, each of the plurality of battery cell controllers is connected to at least one terminal of an assigned one of the plurality of battery cells, and a respective battery cell controller of the plurality of battery cell controllers comprising at least a power electronics arrangement to selectively at least one of connect and disconnect the terminal;
• and
• a master node, configured to provide a virtual modulator signal to the plurality of slave nodes;
• and
• wherein the plurality of battery cell controllers are further configured to correct a respective signal generation based on the virtual modulator signal;
• and
• wherein the master node is further configured to generate a virtual sine wave, by broadcasting propulsion request information with predetermined pace, as control information to be used by the plurality of slave nodes for controlling the plurality of battery cells, the virtual sine wave being the virtual modulator signal, wherein the virtual sine wave is used by the plurality of slave nodes to generate a corresponding signal by switching the assigned one of the plurality of battery cells on and off;
• and
• wherein the battery arrangement is configured for connecting to at least one of the electric machine in a vehicle.

A method comprising:

• providing, by a master node, a virtual modulator signal to each of a plurality of slave nodes, wherein a plurality of battery cell controllers form the plurality of slave nodes;
• and
• correcting, by the plurality of battery cell controllers, a respective signal generation based on the virtual modulator signal;
• generating, by the master node, a virtual sine wave, by broadcasting propulsion request information with predetermined pace as control information to be used by the salve nodes for controlling a plurality of battery cells, the virtual wave signal being the virtual modulator signal;
• generating, by the plurality of slave nodes, a corresponding signal by switching the assigned one of the plurality of battery cells on and off using virtual sine wave;
• and
• wherein the method is configured for controlling a battery arrangement;
• and
• wherein the battery arrangement comprises,
• the plurality of battery cells, of which a first sub-number connected in series forms a first string, a second sub-number connected in series forms a second string, and a third sub-number connected in series forms a third string, the first string, the second string, and the third string are connectable to an electric machine in a vehicle as one respective phase;
• the plurality of battery cell controllers forming the plurality of slave nodes, each of the plurality of battery cell controllers is connected to at least one terminal of the plurality of battery cells within one of:
• the first string, the second string, the third string, and the master node.
