Abstract
The cavitation process is performed on the inner surface of the target hole. The cavitation processing method includes; attaching a cap having a through hole to an inlet of a target hole of a workpiece; immersing the workpiece and a nozzle into a processing liquid; and ejecting a jet of the processing liquid from the nozzle located outside of the target hole to an inside of the target hole through the through hole such that a cavitation process is performed on a processing region that is located downstream of a non-processing region covered by the cap on an inner surface of the target hole.
Claims4
A cavitation processing method, comprising:
- attaching a cap having a through hole to an inlet of a target hole of a workpiece, the target hole having the inlet and an opening;
- closing the opening with an obstruction body configured to obstruct a flow of a jet of a processing liquid;
- immersing the workpiece and a nozzle into the processing liquid;
- ejecting the jet of the processing liquid from the nozzle located outside of the target hole to an inside of the target hole through the through hole such that a cavitation process is performed on a processing region that is located downstream of a non-processing region covered by the cap on an inner surface of the target hole;
- and
- moving the obstruction body along the flow direction of the jet while ejecting the jet, the obstruction body located downstream from the processing region in the flow direction of the jet.
