A hinge lubrication overspray shield comprising

• a superior plate structure, an inferior plate structure, and a collection structure;
• wherein the superior plate structure and the inferior plate structure forms a protective barrier that enclose a protection space;
• wherein the collection structure is a gravity fed reservoir;
• wherein the protection space formed by the hinge lubrication overspray shield captures and contains any excess aerosol spray lubricant within the protection space formed by the hinge lubrication overspray shield;
• wherein the superior plate structure comprises a first wing plate, a second wing plate, and a superior hinge notch;
• wherein the first wing plate attaches to the second wing plate to form the superior plate structure;
• wherein the first wing plate forms a first lateral edge of the superior plate structure;
• wherein the second wing plate attaches to the first wing plate to form the superior plate structure;
• wherein the second wing plate forms a second lateral edge of the superior plate structure;
• wherein the superior hinge notch is a negative space that is formed through the congruent ends of the superior plate structure;
• wherein the superior hinge notch is sized such that the door hinge structure inserts through the superior hinge notch when the superior hinge notch forms a portion of the protection space around the door hinge structure.
