Abstract
A reporting syringe, including a barrel in fluid communication with a needle connected with a first end of the barrel, a piston including a plunger, the piston positioned within a second end of the barrel and the plunger having a fluid-tight interaction with an interior of the barrel, and a microprocessor in electronic communication with a switch and a wireless module, the microprocessor configured to send an administration completion data from the wireless module after triggering the switch.
Claims4
A reporting syringe, comprising:
- a head connected with a piston and configured to drive the piston by pressing the head;
- a barrel in fluid communication with a needle connected with a first end of the barrel, the barrel containing a preloaded pharmaceutical;
- the piston comprising a plunger, the piston positioned within a second end of the barrel and the plunger having a fluid-tight interaction with an interior of the barrel;
- a microprocessor in electronic communication with a switch and a wireless module, the microprocessor configured to send a dosage administration data corresponding to the preloaded pharmaceutical from the wireless module upon triggering the switch;
- and
- a locking mechanism engaged with a stalk of the piston, wherein the locking mechanism is electronically disengageable, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to disable administration of the preloaded pharmaceutical when a degradation risk correlating to the preloaded pharmaceutical is greater than a predetermined threshold, wherein the degradation risk is based upon a combination of temperature and a predetermined elapsed time.
