Abstract
The present disclosure provides combination therapy with GDF15 molecules. In some embodiments, the GDF15 molecule is a GDF15-Fc fusion, in which a GDF15 region is fused to an Fc region, optionally via a linker. In one embodiment, combination therapy comprises administration of a GDF15 molecule with a GLP-1R agonist. In another embodiment, combination therapy comprises administration of a GDF15 molecule with a GIPR antagonist.
Claims12
A method of decreasing body weight in a subject comprising administering a growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) molecule and a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR) antagonist to the subject, wherein:
- the GDF15 molecule is a fusion protein comprising a GDF15 region joined to an Fc region, wherein the GDF15 region comprises an amino acid sequence selected from SEQ ID NOs:
- 6 and 13-18 and the Fc region comprises an amino acid sequence selected from SEQ ID NOs:
- 26-37;
- and
- the GIPR antagonist is a GIPR antigen-binding protein that comprises a light chain and a heavy chain comprising the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NOs:
- 97 and 98;
- 99 and 100;
- 101 and 102;
- 103 and 104;
- or 105 and 106, respectively,
- and further wherein the GDF15 molecule and the GIPR antagonist are administered to the subject at a molar ratio in the range of 1:1 to 1:50.
