Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of treating subjects with diabetic nephropathy by administering certain dosages of Compound I, a stimulator of soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), either alone or in combination therapy.
Claims18
A method of treating diabetic nephropathy (DN) in a human patient in need thereof by administering to said patient a total oral daily dose of between 20 mg and 40 mg of Compound I:
- wherein the patient has an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) between 30 and 45 mL/min/1.73 m2 and a urine to albumin creatinine ratio (UACR) that is higher than 200 mg/g and lower than 5000 mg/g at the start of the treatment.
A method of improving albuminuria in a diabetic human patient in need thereof by administering to said patient a total oral daily dose of between 20 mg and 40 mg of Compound I:
- wherein the patient has an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) between 30 and 45 mL/min/1.73 m2 and a urine to albumin creatinine ratio (UACR) that is higher than 200 mg/g and lower than 5000 mg/g at the start of the treatment.
