Abstract
Disclosed is a prophylactic or therapeutic drug for Parkinson's disease, which comprises a trisulfide compound and is characterized by being administered in combination with a drug that is used for a dopamine supplementation therapy.
Claims20
A method for suppressing dopamine decomposition comprising administering (i) a trisulfide compound and (ii) a drug utilized in dopamine replacement therapy or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a patient having Parkinson's disease, wherein the trisulfide compound is
- (a) glutathione trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
- (b) lipoic acid trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a cyclodextrin clathrate thereof,
- (c) pantethine trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or
- (d) N,N′-diacetyl-L-cysteine trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A kit for suppressing dopamine decomposition in a patient having Parkinson's disease, wherein the kit comprises (i) a formulation comprising a trisulfide compound and (ii) a formulation comprising a drug utilized in dopamine replacement therapy or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the trisulfide compound is
- (a) glutathione trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
- (b) lipoic acid trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a cyclodextrin clathrate thereof,
- (c) pantethine trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or
- (d) N,N′-diacetyl-L-cysteine trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A pharmaceutical composition for suppressing dopamine decomposition in a patient having Parkinson's disease comprising (i) a trisulfide compound and (ii) a drug utilized in dopamine replacement therapy or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the trisulfide compound is
- (a) glutathione trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, (a} glutathione trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
- (b) lipoic acid trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a cyclodextrin clathrate thereof,
- (c) pantethine trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or
- (d) N,N′-diacetyl-L-cysteine trisulfide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
