The present invention relates to an antiparasitic composition comprising an antiparasitic agent and a semifluorinated alkane.

An antiparasitic composition formulated for topical application to the skin consisting of crotamiton, a semifluorinated alkane, optionally a co-solvent, and optionally an oily excipient, wherein the composition is a liquid solution, and wherein the co-solvent is selected from the group consisting of isopropanol, ethanol, liquid medium chain triglycerides, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, diethylene glycol monomethyl ether, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, ethyl acetate, ethyl oleate, octyldodecanol, and diethyl sebecate;
- and wherein the oily excipient is selected from the group consisting of squalane, silicone oils, mineral oils, essential oils, and liquid triglycerides.
