## Abstract

An apparatus includes a body, an outer cannula, and an inner cannula slidably disposed in the outer cannula. The inner cannula includes an open proximal end, an open distal end configured to pierce a retina, and a lumen for delivering first and second fluids into a subretinal region of the eye. The apparatus also includes a first supply conduit configured to supply the first fluid to the lumen, and including a first distal conduit end fixedly secured relative to the inner cannula such that the first distal conduit end is configured to translate longitudinally together with the inner cannula. The apparatus also includes a second supply conduit configured to supply the second fluid to the lumen, and including a second distal conduit end fixedly secured relative to the inner cannula such that the second distal conduit end is configured to translate longitudinally together with the inner cannula.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An apparatus, comprising:
(a) a body;
(b) an outer cannula extending distally from the body along a longitudinal axis, wherein the outer cannula is fixedly secured to the body;
(c) an inner cannula extending along the longitudinal axis and slidably disposed in the outer cannula for translating longitudinally relative to the outer cannula, wherein the inner cannula includes:
(i) an open proximal end,
(ii) an open distal end configured to pierce a retina of an eye of a patient, and
(iii) a lumen extending between the open proximal end and the open distal end, wherein the lumen is configured to communicate first and second fluids to the open distal end for delivering the first and second fluids into a subretinal region of the eye;
(d) a first supply conduit configured to supply the first fluid to the lumen of the inner cannula, wherein the first supply conduit includes a first distal conduit end fixedly secured relative to the inner cannula such that the first distal conduit end is configured to translate longitudinally together with the inner cannula relative to the outer cannula; and
(e) a second supply conduit configured to supply the second fluid to the lumen of the inner cannula, wherein the second supply conduit includes a second distal conduit end fixedly secured relative to the inner cannula such that the second distal conduit end is configured to translate longitudinally together with the inner cannula relative to the outer cannula.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising an actuator configured to selectively translate the inner cannula longitudinally relative to the outer cannula between a proximal position in which the open distal end of the inner cannula is retracted within the outer cannula, and a distal position in which the open distal end of the inner cannula is extended distally out of the outer cannula.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the body includes an upper slot, wherein at least a portion of the actuator extends through the upper slot.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first supply conduit is coupled with a first fluid source, wherein the first supply conduit is configured to be in fluid communication with the lumen of the inner cannula when the first fluid source is pressurized.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the second supply conduit is coupled with a second fluid source, wherein the second supply conduit is configured to be in fluid communication with the lumen of the inner cannula when the second fluid source is pressurized.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a connector member housed within the body and fixedly secured relative to the inner cannula such that the connector member is configured to translate longitudinally together with the inner cannula relative to the outer cannula, wherein the first and second distal conduit ends are each fixedly secured to the connector member.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the connector member includes first and second conduit passageways configured to receive the first and second supply conduits, respectively.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the first and second conduit passageways provide interference fits with the first and second supply conduits, respectively.

### Claim 9 (depends on 6)

The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising a fluid chamber defined within the connector member and interposed between the lumen of the inner cannula and at least one of the first or second supply conduits.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first and second supply conduits at least partially define first and second fluid paths, respectively, wherein the first and second fluid paths are isolated from each other.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first and second supply conduits extend proximally from the body.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the body includes a proximal bore, wherein the first and second supply conduits extend proximally from the body through the proximal bore.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)
