Smoking article including biodegradable cigarette paper

A smoking article comprising:

• a first portion including a tobacco element;
• a second portion including a cooling element;
• and
• a third portion including a filter element,
• wherein the first portion, the second portion, and the third portion are arranged in order in a longitudinal direction of the smoking article,
• the smoking article further comprises biodegradable cigarette paper surrounding at least one of the second portion and the third portion,
• the biodegradable cigarette paper has no pores,
• the biodegradable cigarette paper includes a biodegradable polymer, and
• the biodegradable polymer includes polylactic acid (PLA) and polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) in a weight ratio of 0.1 to 10:1.
