Abstract
An information map is obtained by an agricultural system. The information map maps values of a characteristic at different geographic locations in a worksite. An in-situ sensor detects material consumption values as a mobile material application machine operates at the worksite. A predictive map generator generates a predictive map that maps predictive material consumption values at different geographic locations in the worksite based on a relationship between values of the characteristic in the information map and material consumption values detected by the in-situ sensor. The predictive map can be output and used in automated machine control.
Claims20
An agricultural material application system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions executable by the one or more processors that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the one or more processors to:
- obtain a map, the map mapping characteristic values to a plurality of different geographic locations in a worksite;
- predict a geographic location of the plurality of different geographic locations in the worksite at which an agricultural material application machine will be empty of a material, at least to a threshold level, based, at least, on the map;
- and
- generate a control signal based, at least, on the predicted geographic location at which the agricultural material application machine will be empty to at least the threshold level.
A computer implemented method comprising:
- obtaining a map, the map mapping characteristic values to a plurality of different geographic locations in a worksite;
- predicting a geographic location of the plurality of different geographic locations in the worksite at which an agricultural material application machine will be empty of a material, at least to a threshold level, based, at least, on the map;
- and
- generating a control signal based, at least, on the predicted geographic location at which the agricultural material application machine will be empty to at least the threshold level.
An agricultural material application machine comprising:
- one or more controllable subsystems;
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions executable by the one or more processors that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the one or more processors to:
- obtain a map, the map mapping characteristic values to a plurality of different geographic locations in a worksite;
- predict a geographic location of the plurality of different geographic locations in the worksite at which the agricultural material application machine will be empty of a material, at least to a threshold level, based, at least, on the map;
- and
- control the one or more controllable subsystems based, at least, on the predicted geographic location at which the agricultural material application machine will be empty to at least the threshold level.
