Abstract
An LED driving circuit can include: an electrolytic capacitor coupled between two outputs of a rectifier circuit; an auxiliary power supply circuit coupled in parallel with the electrolytic capacitor, and being configured to convert a voltage of the electrolytic capacitor into a power supply voltage to at least power a dimming control circuit, where the dimming control circuit is configured to generate a dimming control signal; and a linear driving circuit configured to control a driving current flowing through an LED load based on the dimming control signal, where the linear driving circuit is coupled in series with the LED load.
Claims14
A light-emitting diode (LED) driving circuit, comprising:
- a) an electrolytic capacitor coupled between two outputs of a rectifier circuit;
- b) an auxiliary power supply circuit directly connected in parallel with two terminals of the electrolytic capacitor, and being configured to convert a voltage of the electrolytic capacitor into a power supply voltage to at least power a dimming control circuit, wherein the auxiliary power supply circuit is configured as a switch-mode power converter, and the dimming control circuit is configured to generate a dimming control signal;
- and
- c) a linear driving circuit configured to control a driving current flowing through an LED load based on the dimming control signal, wherein the linear driving circuit is coupled in series with the LED load, wherein a series connection of the linear driving circuit and the LED load is directly coupled in parallel with the electrolytic capacitor.
