Abstract
A method is provided in which in a case where a predetermined instruction is received, and Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) is set as a protocol used for communication by an information processing apparatus, a first setting process is executed without executing a display process, and in a case where the predetermined instruction is received, and another protocol different from IPv4 is set as a protocol used for communication by the information processing apparatus, the display process is executed.

A method for controlling an information processing apparatus, the control method comprising:
- receiving a predetermined instruction;
- in a case where the predetermined instruction is received and Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) is set as a protocol used for communication by the information processing apparatus, executing a first setting process without executing a display process, the first setting process being for transmitting, to a communication apparatus, setting information, the setting information including information for the communication apparatus to connect to one or more networks formed by one or more access points outside the information processing apparatus using a first connection method;
- in a case where the predetermined instruction is received and Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is set as a protocol used for communication by the information processing apparatus, executing the display process for displaying a selection screen that is a screen at least including an area for selecting a second connection method different from the first connection method as a connection method between the communication apparatus and the one or more networks;
- and executing, in a case where the area for selecting the second connection method is selected, a process regarding a second setting process for establishing a connection between the communication apparatus and the one or more networks using the second connection method.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute a control method for controlling an information processing apparatus, the control method comprising:
- receiving a predetermined instruction;
- in a case where the predetermined instruction is received and Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) is set as a protocol used for communication by the information

- and executing, in a case where the area for selecting the second connection method is selected, a process regarding a second setting process for establishing a connection between the communication apparatus and the one or more networks using the second connection method.
