Abstract
An example method performed by a first access and mobility management function (AMF) of a wireless communication system may include establishing a control channel connection with at least two enhanced relays (ERs) through a first base station managed by the first AMF; controlling the at least two ERs to establish a communication channel with a second base station distinct from the first base station through the control channel; and controlling the at least two ERs to transmit data received through the communication channel to a first user equipment (UE).
Claims18
A method performed by a first access and mobility management function (AMF) entity in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- establishing a control channel with at least two enhanced relays (ERs) via a first base station managed by the first AMF entity;
- transmitting, to the at least two ERs via the control channel, a first control message for requesting to establish a communication channel with a second base station managed by a second AMF entity;
- controlling a network entity to access the second AMF entity based on the communication channel being established, wherein the network entity is for delivering control messages between the first AMF entity and the second AMF entity;
- and
- controlling the network entity to transmit a second control message to the at least two ERs, via the second AMF entity and the second base station,
- wherein the second control message indicates to transmit, to a first user equipment (UE), data received from the communication channel.
A first access and mobility management function (AMF) entity in a wireless communication system, the first AMF entity comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor individually or collectively, cause the first AMF entity to:
- establish a control channel with at least two enhanced relays (ERs) via a first base station managed by the first AMF entity;
- transmit, to the at least two ERs via the control channel, a first control message for requesting to establish a communication channel with a second base station managed by a second AMF entity;
- control a network entity to access the second AMF entity based on the communication channel being established, wherein the network entity is for delivering control messages between the first AMF entity and the second AMF entity;
- and
- control the network entity to transmit a second control message to the at least two ERs, via the second AMF entity and the second base station,
- wherein the second control message indicates to transmit, to a first user equipment (UE), data received from the communication channel.
