Abstract
The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods for paging timing collision control, with respect to exchange of offset values (e.g., IMSI offset values) between a user equipment and a network.
Claims18
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having instructions that, when executed, cause processing circuitry to:
- identify a request message, from a user equipment (UE), that includes a requested offset value;
- generate an accept message that includes a negotiated offset value, the accept message to be provided to the UE;
- generate a paging message with a first international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) value and a second IMSI value, the paging message to be provided to the UE;
- identify a response message, from the UE, that includes a global unique temporary identifier (GUTI) corresponding to the first IMSI value or the second IMSI value;
- and
- determine, based on the GUTI, that one of the first IMSI value or the second IMSI value is invalid.

A method, comprising:
- receiving a request message, from a user equipment (UE), that includes a requested offset value;
- generating, for transmission, an accept message that includes a negotiated offset value, the accept message to be provided to the UE;
- generating, for transmission, a paging message with a first international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) value and a second IMSI value, the paging message to be provided to the UE;
- identifying, from the UE, a global unique temporary identifier (GUTI) corresponding to the first IMSI value or the second IMSI value;
- and
- determining, based on the GUTI, that one of the first IMSI value or the second IMSI value is invalid.

An apparatus comprising:
- processing circuitry to:
- identify a request message, from a user equipment (UE), that includes a requested offset value;
- generate an accept message that includes a negotiated offset value, the accept message to be provided to the UE;
- generate a paging message with a first international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) value and a second IMSI value, the paging message to be provided to the UE;
- identify a response message that includes a global unique temporary identifier (GUTI) corresponding to the first IMSI value or the second IMSI value;
- and
- determine, based on the GUTI, that one of the first IMSI value or the second IMSI value is invalid;
- and
- interface circuitry coupled to the processing circuitry, the interface circuitry to identify the response message.
