Abstract
A base station in a network system is provided. The base station includes a reception unit configured to receive a first reference signal from a terminal via a first non-terrestrial communication device; and a transmission unit configured to transmit, to a location management function (LMF), information related to a propagation delay of the first reference signal and information related to a reception timing of the first reference signal.
Claims4
A base station comprising:
- a transmitter that transmits, to a terminal, a first reference signal via a non-terrestrial communication device;
- a receiver that receives, from the terminal, a second reference signal via the non-terrestrial communication device;
- and
- a processor that calculates, based on a measurement result of the first reference signal and a measurement result of the second reference signal, a receive-transmit time difference,
- wherein the processor transfers, to a Location Management Function (LMF), orbit information of a satellite and a common Timing Advance (TA) parameter, as assistance information for positioning using the receive-transmit time difference.
A communication system comprising:
- a base station;
- a terminal;
- a non-terrestrial communication device;
- and
- a Location Management Function (LMF),
- wherein the base station includes
- a transmitter that transmits, to the terminal, a first reference signal via the non-terrestrial communication device,
- a receiver that receives, from the terminal, a second reference signal via the non-terrestrial communication device, and
- a processor that calculates, based on a measurement result of the first reference signal and a measurement result of the second reference signal, a receive-transmit time difference,
- wherein the processor transfers, to the LMF, orbit information of a satellite and a common Timing Advance (TA) parameter, as assistance information for positioning using the receive-transmit time difference,
- wherein the terminal includes
- a receiver that receives, from the base station, the first reference signal via the non-terrestrial communication device, and
- a transmitter that transmits, to the base station, the second reference signal via the non-terrestrial communication device, and
- wherein the LMF receives, from the base station, the orbit information of the satellite and the common TA parameter, as the assistance information for the positioning using the receive-transmit time difference.
A communication method executed by a base station, the method comprising:
- transmitting, to a terminal, a first reference signal via a non-terrestrial communication device;
- receiving, from the terminal, a second reference signal via the non-terrestrial communication device;
- calculating, based on a measurement result of the first reference signal and a measurement result of the second reference signal, a receive-transmit time difference;
- and
- transferring, to a Location Management Function (LMF), orbit information of a satellite and a common Timing Advance (TA) parameter, as assistance information for positioning using the receive-transmit time difference.
