Communication method and related apparatus

An apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor coupled to at least one memory storing instructions and configured to execute the instructions to enable the apparatus to:
• send time information to a first access network device, wherein the time information indicates a reference time and instructs the first access network device to measure, after the reference time indicated by the time information, an Xth sounding reference signal (SRS) sent by a terminal device, and X is an integer greater than or equal to 1;
• send the time information to a second access network device, wherein the time information indicates the reference time and instructs the second access network device to measure the Xth SRS sent by the terminal device after the reference time;
• receive a first measurement result from the first access network device, wherein the first measurement result is configured to be obtained by measuring an SRS of the terminal device based on the time information;
• and
• receive a second measurement result from the second access network device, wherein the second measurement result is configured to be obtained by measuring the SRS of the terminal device based on the time information.

An apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor coupled to at least one memory storing instructions and configured to execute the instructions to enable the apparatus to:
• receive time information from a location management device, wherein the time information indicates a reference time and instructs the apparatus to measure, after the reference time indicated by the time information, an Xth sounding reference signal SRS sent by a terminal device, and X is an integer greater than or equal to 1;
• and
• send a first measurement result to the location management device, wherein the first measurement result is configured to be obtained by measuring an SRS of the terminal device based on the time information.
