Method and apparatus for configuring and reporting QoE in wireless communication system

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

• receiving, from a master node (MN) via a second signaling radio bearer (SRB), second configuration information associated with a quality of experience (QoE) measurement, the second configuration comprises first configuration information including an indicator indicating whether a segmentation of a report of the QoE measurement via a first SRB associated with the report of the QoE measurement to a secondary node (SN) is allowed;
• identifying the first SRB for transmitting the report of the QoE measurement to the SN among at least one SRB;
• and
• transmitting, directly to the SN on the identified first SRB, the report of the QoE measurement based on the indicator,
• wherein the first configuration information is transmitted from the SN to the MN.

A secondary node (SN) in a wireless communication system, the SN comprising:

• a transceiver;
• memory, comprising one or more storage media, storing instructions, and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory,
• wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the SN to:
• transmit, to a master node (MN), first configuration information associated with a quality of experience (QoE) measurement, wherein the first configuration information includes an indicator indicating whether a segmentation of a report of the QoE measurement via first signaling radio bearer (SRB) associated with the report of the QoE measurement to the SN is allowed, and
• receive, directly from a user equipment via the first SRB, the report of the QoE measurement based on the indicator, and
• wherein the first configuration information is included in second configuration information transmitted to the UE via second SRB.

A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

• a transceiver;
• memory, comprising one or more storage media, storing instructions;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory,
• wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the UE to:
• receive, from a master node (MN) via a second signaling radio bearer (SRB), second configuration information associated with a quality of experience (QoE) measurement, the second configuration information including first configuration information including an indicator indicating whether a segmentation of a report of the QoE measurement via a first signaling radio bearer (SRB) associated with the report of the QoE measurement to a secondary node (SN) is allowed,
• identify the first SRB for transmitting the report of the QoE measurement to the SN among at least one SRB, and
• transmit, directly to the SN on the identified first SRB, the report of the QoE measurement based on the indicator,
• wherein the first configuration information is transmitted from the SN to the MN.
