Abstract
The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) communication device and a method thereof. The method includes: adding, by a second donor distributed unit (a target donor-DU), a header related to a transport network layer (TNL) tunnel to uplink data, and transmitting the uplink data to a first donor distributed unit (a source donor-DU) via the TNL tunnel; and/or adding, by a first donor distributed unit (a source donor-DU), a header related to a transport network layer (TNL) tunnel to downlink data, and transmitting the downlink data to a second donor distributed unit (a target donor-DU) via the TNL tunnel.
Claims10
An integrated access and backhaul (IAB) communication device, applicable to a second donor integrated access and backhaul distributed unit (IAB-donor-DU), the IAB communication device, comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive uplink packet transmitted by an IAB node;
- processor circuitry configured to add a header related to a transport network layer (TNL) tunnel to the uplink packet;
- and
- a transmitter configured to transmit the uplink packet to a first IAB-donor-DU via the transport network layer tunnel, wherein a source TNL address of the uplink packet is anchored at the first IAB-donor-DU,
- wherein the receiver is further configured to receive configuration of the source TNL address of the uplink packet from the IAB-donor-CU, and wherein the source TNL address is permitted being forwarded to the first IAB-donor-DU and excepted from TNL address filtering by the second IAB-donor-DU.
A method by performing a second IAB-donor-CU for integrated access and backhaul (IAB) communication, wherein an IAB-node moves from a first IAB-donor-DU to a second IAB-donor-DU, the method comprising:
- indicating to the second IAB-donor-DU to receive uplink packet from the IAB-node and deliver the uplink data packet to a first IAB-donor-DU via a TNL tunnel between the first IAB-donor-DU and the second IAB-donor-DU;
- wherein, the first IAB-donor-DU belongs to a first doner IAB-IAB-donor-CU, and the second IAB-donor-DU belongs to a second IAB-donor-CU.
