Abstract
Disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for a predictive imaging system to determine exposure-related settings for a scene that is to be captured by an imagining device. The predictive imaging system determines a motion of the scene that is to be captured by an image sensor of the imaging device and determines an exposure-related configuration setting of the imaging device, where the exposure-related configuration setting is based on the determined motion of the scene. The predictive imaging system then generates an instruction for the imaging device to capture the scene using the determined configuration setting.
Claims19
A device comprising a processor configured to:
- determine a motion of a scene that is to be captured by an image sensor;
- determine a configuration setting of an imaging device comprising the image sensor, wherein the configuration setting is based on the determined motion of the scene;
- and
- generate an instruction for the imaging device to capture the scene using the determined configuration setting, wherein the processor configured to determine the configuration setting of the imaging device comprises the processor configured to:
- determine a plurality of exposure times, each associated with a relative motion of the scene relative to the image sensor;
- and
- select a selected exposure time from among the plurality of exposure times as the determined configuration setting based on a predefined selection criterion.
An apparatus comprising:
- a means for determining a motion of a scene that is to be captured by an image sensor;
- a means for determining a configuration setting of an imaging device comprising the image sensor, wherein the configuration setting is based on the determined motion of the scene;
- and
- a means for generating an instruction for the imaging device to capture the scene using the determined configuration setting, wherein the means for determining the configuration setting of the imaging device comprises:
- a means for determining a plurality of exposure times, each associated with a relative motion of the scene relative to the image sensor;
- and
- a means for selecting a selected exposure time from among the plurality of exposure times as the determined configuration setting based on a predefined selection criterion.
A non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising instructions which, if executed, cause one or more processors to:
- determine a motion of a scene that is to be captured by an image sensor;
- determine a configuration setting of an imaging device comprising the image sensor, wherein the configuration setting is based on the determined motion of the scene;
- and
- generate an instruction for the imaging device to capture the scene using the determined configuration setting, wherein the instructions that cause the one or more processors to determine the configuration setting of the imaging device further cause the one or more processors to:
- determine a plurality of exposure times, each associated with a relative motion of the scene relative to the image sensor;
- and
- select a selected exposure time from among the plurality of exposure times as the determined configuration setting based on a predefined selection criterion.
