Abstract
A video decoding method, includes: partitioning a chroma block into at least one chroma sub-block based on determining a first block vector (BV) of the chroma block is derived from a second BV of a luma block; acquiring a third BV of a first luma sub-block corresponding to the at least one chroma sub-block; mapping the third BV to a fourth BV of the at least one chroma sub-block according to a chroma scale factor of video to be decoded; and decoding the chroma block according to the fourth BV to obtain a reconstructed block corresponding to the chroma block.
Claims18
A video decoding method, comprising:
- partitioning a chroma block into at least one chroma sub-block based on determining a first block vector (BV) of the chroma block is derived from a second BV of a luma block;
- acquiring a third BV of a first luma sub-block corresponding to the at least one chroma sub-block by sequentially deriving a BV from at least one set position on the first luma sub-block in a set order, wherein the acquiring comprises:
- based on a valid BV being obtained, using the valid BV as the third BV and terminating the sequential derivation;
- and
- based on no valid BV being obtained after sequentially deriving the BV from each of the at least one set position, determining a default BV as the third BV;
- mapping the third BV to a fourth BV of the at least one chroma sub-block according to a chroma scale factor of video to be decoded;
- and
- decoding the chroma block according to the fourth BV to obtain a reconstructed block corresponding to the chroma block.
A video decoding apparatus, comprising:
- at least one memory configured to store computer program code;
- and
- at least one processor configured to read the program code and operate as instructed by the program code, the program code comprising:
- partitioning code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to partition a chroma block into at least one chroma sub-block, based on determining a first block vector (BV) of the chroma block is derived from a second BV of a luma block;
- acquisition code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to acquire a third BV of a first luma sub-block corresponding to the at least one chroma sub-block by sequentially deriving a BV from at least one set position on the first luma sub-block in a set order, wherein the acquiring comprises:
- based on a valid BV being obtained, using the valid BV as the third BV and terminating the sequential derivation;
- and
- based on no valid BV being obtained after sequentially deriving the BV from each of the at least one set position, determining a default BV as the third BV;
- mapping code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to map the third BV to a fourth BV of the at least one chroma sub-block according to a chroma scale factor of video;
- and
- decoding code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to decode the chroma block according to the fourth BV to obtain a reconstructed block corresponding to the chroma block.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, storing computer code which, when executed by at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to at least:
- partition a chroma block into at least one chroma sub-block, based on determining a first block vector (BV) of the chroma block is derived from a second BV of a luma block;
- acquire a third BV of a first luma sub-block corresponding to the at least one chroma sub-block by sequentially deriving a BV from at least one set position on the first luma sub-block in a set order, wherein the acquiring comprises:
- based on a valid BV being obtained, using the valid BV as the third BV and terminating the sequential derivation;
- and
- based on no valid BV being obtained after sequentially deriving the BV from each of the at least one set position, determining a default BV as the third BV;
- map the third BV to a fourth BV of the at least one chroma sub-block according to a chroma scale factor of video;
- and
- decode the chroma block according to the fourth BV to obtain a reconstructed block corresponding to the chroma block.
