Abstract
A system includes multiple network devices and one or more processors. The network devices are to connect to a network. The one or more processors are to exchange communication traffic over the network via the multiple network devices, to estimate multiple communication loads experienced respectively by the multiple network devices, and to distribute subsequent communication traffic among the multiple network devices, responsively to the multiple estimated communication loads.

A system, comprising:
- one or more host processors;
- and
- multiple network adapters, to connect the one or more host processors to a network by (i) communicating with the one or more host processors and (ii) communicating with the network via one or more network interfaces, wherein the one or more host processors are to:
- exchange communication traffic over the network via the multiple network adapters;
- estimate pending loads on the multiple network adapters by estimating, for each network adapter, an amount of communication traffic that the one or more host processors requested the network adapter to communicate but the network adapter has not completed;
- and
- distribute subsequent communication traffic among the multiple network adapters, responsively to the pending loads.

- connecting one or more host processors to a network using multiple network adapters, by (i) communicating with the one or more host processors and (ii) communicating with the network via one or more network interfaces;
- and
- using the one or more host processors:
- exchanging communication traffic over the network via the multiple network adapters;
